About Me

My name is Alex Roby, I’m 23 years old from Hillingdon, North West London. I’ve had long interest in art, drawing things such as cartoon characters like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as a boy. I am a big film, music, comedy fan getting lots of inspiration from these areas. Some of my inspiration comes from Monty Python, The Spagetti Westerns, Mighty Boosh, Futurama and Bloc Party to name a few...

Art has always been a passion of mine throughout school, and I carried this on through to A level and then I went on to do a Foundation in Art & Design at Chelsea. The year spent there I found myself enjoying learning about animation and took a keen interest in Cinema from the Far East including Anime and therefore decided I wanted to pursue this with a degree in Computer Animation at University.

I found my interest lie very much more in the art side of designing and making things with animation rather on the more technical animation aspects and by the end of the three years I was applying my more artistic skills to this. I now find myself interested in Graphic Design and New Media and can turn my hand to pretty much anything I put my mind to!
